Construction
Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 is constructed using solid steel material and is quite lightweight at just 53.2 pounds. The default color of this model is sleek black.
Dimensions
The treadmill is quite compact and the dimensions measured to 48.2 x 23.2 x 7 inches. In the folded position, the height of treadmill is 48.4” and the top and base are 23” x 23”. Space Saver design of the treadmill means that it can be easily folded down and it offers a 15% fixed, dual-position incline with a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds. Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 is highly portable with a vertically folding design.
The dimensions of the walking belt are also compact at 41” long and 17” wide. It features a maintenance-free belt with enough space to walk, run and jog without getting the feet tangled up. Wheels attached to the bottom of the treadmill allow it to slide effortlessly. It can be folded flat and stored under a dresser or bed and pulled out for use later.
Features
The CardioStride 4.0 is a self-powered model that requires no motor and hence no electric input to operate. Its running belt performs the motion with the momentum of the user’s strides and this means that the speed depends solely on the user’s preference for intensity. The treadmill comes loaded with a multi-function LCD display screen which keeps track of the user’s speed, distance, heart rate, goals, time and calories burnt. It also features a phone holder which can be used to place the mobile phone to listen to music or watch videos during the workout.
The two incline positions can be adjusted manually and the angle of inclination goes to a maximum of 19 degrees. The two positions can be used to increase the workout intensity to ensure that more calories are burned in the workout while reducing the joint impact to easily achieve ideal fitness goals.
Pros
- Compact Design: The treadmill weighs just 60 pounds in total, making it a highly compact and lightweight model. This is quite advantageous to older users who cannot manage bulky fitness equipment.
- Foldable Design: This treadmill offers a lot of convenience with the folding frame. The model is loaded with patented SpaceSaver design which makes it easy and quick to fold up and store.
- Price: This is a treadmill under $100 and is capable of offering light walking and jogging capabilities at a budget-friendly price.
Cons
- Warranty: This model comes with 90 days coverage on labor and parts but for the price, it is not worth blaming.
- Console Area: The treadmill has no ‘console area’. There is just a single display screen with basic workout readings. There is no storage space for bottle and keys. Moreover, there are no workout programs, audio features or heart rate sensors.
- Shock-Absorption System: This model does not include any shock absorption system and hence problems related to feet and back can arise.
- Running Area: Weslo CardioStride 4.0 has a small and compact running belt which is just 41” long and 17” wide. Most common treadmills come with belts that are at least 60” long and 20” wide. Most users might not feel comfortable on the small running space.
Though the Weslo CardioStride 4.0 manual treadmill machine with its own flaws, it offers the features for which you pay. The machine works pretty fine considering the economical price and helps perform workouts at home.
